
Senior Engineering Manager
Pennylane, one of the fastest-growing fintechs in France, is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to help drive and mentor its engineering squads. The tech team is divided into more than 40 squads, each led by an Engineering Manager working with a PM and a Product Designer. In this 'manager of managers' role, you will manage several Engineering Managers, report directly to a Co-Founder & CTO or the Head of Engineering, and collaborate with a Group Product Manager and Product Design Manager. Pennylane is based in Paris but the tech team is remote-first.
Responsibilities
- ▹Drive and mentor several engineering squads as a manager of managers, directly managing several Engineering Managers
- ▹Collaborate with product managers to ensure quality and efficiency standards are respected and that the team is fulfilled in their work
- ▹Identify developers' key strengths and areas for improvement to help them grow, including within the senior developer community
- ▹Collaborate with other Engineering Managers to set up appropriate processes as the team grows
- ▹Provide leadership within the senior tech community and work on cross-team or transversal initiatives
- ▹Participate in scaling the Pennylane application from 700k+ customers upward
Requirements
- ▹Significant experience managing engineering teams, including management of managers
- ▹Fluent in English
