Portfolio Analytics and Forecasts Actuary
Alan is hiring an actuary for its Insurance team to define and build the metrics, tools, and dynamic analytics that monitor its portfolio and forecast margins across health and provident (prévoyance) businesses. The role owns quantitative metrics computation to support strategic decision-making such as portfolio repricing, working alongside the Strategy, Finance, and Risk teams. The position requires legal eligibility to work from France and targets the C1-D level range.
Responsibilities
- ▹Define and build the metrics, tools, and dynamic analytics to monitor the portfolio and forecast margins
- ▹Own the quantitative metrics computation to support strategic decisions such as portfolio repricing, alongside Strategy and Finance teams
- ▹Understand the margin and claims drivers on both gross and ceded business for repricing and offer guarantee adjustments
- ▹Contribute to the reinsurance plans and support the renewal strategy in liaison with the Risk team
- ▹Support entities in new countries to define and build their own portfolio monitoring and forecasts
Requirements
- ▹At least 2 years of experience in insurance and portfolio monitoring
- ▹Fluent English and French
- ▹Mastery of portfolio analytics and forecasts at the micro level
- ▹Comfortable with SQL and ideally R or Python
- ▹Analytical and structured, with a fact-based decision-making style
- ▹Willing to deeply change the insurance industry and challenge the status quo
- ▹Legally eligible to work from France
