Senior IT Architect for Data and Information Architecture (Consulting Assignment)

Responsibilities

• ▹Analyse the current architecture and design a target architecture for future data and information provisioning
• ▹Map and document the current state of information and data architecture
• ▹Develop and gain buy-in for the target architecture for information provisioning, data flows and data platforms
• ▹Analyse how data flows between source systems, integration platforms, data platforms and the solutions that use it
• ▹Clarify responsibilities, interfaces and principles for information sharing and data exchange
• ▹Identify gaps, risks, dependencies and possible paths forward
• ▹Produce recommendations, decision material and an overall roadmap
• ▹Support the architecture forum and ongoing initiatives in data, information, integration and platforms

Requirements

• ▹At least ten years of IT architecture experience in large, complex IT environments
• ▹Experience as Enterprise Architect, Lead Architect, Solution Architect or an equivalent senior architect role
• ▹Deep experience in one or more of data architecture, information architecture, integration architecture and data platforms
• ▹Documented experience developing, documenting and anchoring target architectures
• ▹Experience analysing information and data flows, data products, master data and information provisioning
• ▹Experience producing strategic roadmaps, recommendations and decision material
• ▹Good understanding of information security, information governance and data governance
• ▹University degree in IT, systems science, information management or equivalent
• ▹Security vetting and background check required

• ▹Event-driven architecture and Kafka
• ▹Databricks, lakehouse architecture or other modern data platforms
• ▹Microsoft Azure and cloud-based integration platforms
• ▹API and integration architecture
• ▹Data mesh, data governance and Master Data Management
• ▹Experience in mission-critical or other regulated operations
• ▹Architecture methods and frameworks such as TOGAF and ArchiMate
