Tech Lead - Backend Delivery

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead the technical execution of reliability and developer experience
• ▹Mentor and guide engineers, including hiring, onboarding and long-term career development
• ▹Share know-how and best practices, coaching people to make the right decisions and raise concerns
• ▹Collaborate with backend services teams, the game server infrastructure team and other users of the common development platform (such as data analytics and anti-cheat) to define, scope and deliver new features and improvements
• ▹Plan for the sustainability and throughput of the team, including headcount planning and scoping
• ▹Support the design and evolution of robust, scalable systems within backend engineering teams (e.g. player progression, matchmaking)
• ▹Ensure high performance and reliability by improving monitoring of the fleets
• ▹Foster best practices in code quality, automated testing, performance profiling and release reliability
• ▹Build tools and automation to make development iterations simpler and faster
• ▹Make architectural decisions regarding the infrastructure and backend development platform

Requirements

• ▹A solid and proven background in software engineering and architectural leadership, with experience developing large-scale systems
• ▹Experience from a high-paced engineering organization working with CI, scalability and automation
• ▹Experience working with a diverse set of partners and helping them understand the trade-offs of product and technical decisions
• ▹A learning, collaborative and sharing approach, with motivation to take initiative
• ▹Ability to be a great team player with good communication skills
• ▹Proven leadership qualities, including strong recommendations from former team members
• ▹Professional English communication skills
