HW/SW Developer (Embedded)

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop firmware and hardware-near software in C and C++
• ▹Build drivers and interfaces for microcontrollers, microprocessors and peripherals
• ▹Interpret schematics and datasheets and contribute electronics and component selection knowledge
• ▹Debug hardware and software using tools such as JTAG, oscilloscope, multimeter and logic analyzer
• ▹Develop and run unit, integration and system tests
• ▹Collaborate with software, hardware, test and systems engineers throughout the development flow
• ▹Work with Embedded Linux, RTOS or bare metal on ARM, STM32 or NXP based platforms, depending on the assignment

Requirements

• ▹Experience in embedded development in C and C++
• ▹Hands-on experience in hardware development, electronics design or work close to hardware design
• ▹Knowledge of microcontrollers or microprocessors and how software interacts with the electronics
• ▹Experience with Embedded Linux, RTOS or real-time development
• ▹Ability to read schematics and datasheets and debug problems in both hardware and software
• ▹Experience with Git, testing and structured development workflows

Nice to have

• ▹Python for test automation, scripting or tool development
• ▹CI/CD for embedded development, HIL and SIL testing
• ▹Requirements management, requirements traceability and working according to the V-model
• ▹Knowledge of Rust, AUTOSAR Classic or Adaptive, MATLAB/Simulink, Yocto, Buildroot or container-based development environments
• ▹Experience with FPGA, VHDL, Verilog, PCB design or tools such as Altium, KiCad and OrCAD
• ▹Experience with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, MQTT, Azure IoT or AWS IoT
• ▹Experience with functional safety, Automotive SPICE or cybersecurity standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, ISO/SAE 21434)
