Senior Software Engineer - Agentic AI

Responsibilities

• ▹Work in consulting and software development projects for clients such as AXA, BMW, ZDF and Deutsche Bahn
• ▹Design, develop and implement software solutions, applying AI methods and tools across the whole development process (e.g. LLMs, agentic frameworks, code generation, test automation)
• ▹Build agentic workflows (tool use/function calling, planner/executor, multi-agent patterns), define guardrails and ensure reliable behaviour
• ▹Develop RAG and retrieval architectures (embeddings, chunking strategies, re-ranking), evaluate quality systematically and optimise latency and cost
• ▹Take on technical leadership in the project team when needed and share knowledge (e.g. through training)

Requirements

• ▹Successfully completed university degree in computer science or a comparable discipline
• ▹Deep, practical knowledge of software development (e.g. Java, TypeScript, Python) and of using AI in software engineering (e.g. Claude or Copilot)
• ▹Knowledge of AI algorithms and ML basics (e.g. classification, clustering, embeddings) and ability to evaluate AI systems
• ▹Practical experience with LLMs, agentic frameworks (e.g. LangChain, Semantic Kernel), prompting and structured outputs
• ▹Familiarity with agentic protocols such as MCP and A2A
• ▹Independent, responsible working style and active contribution to the project team's success
