Responsibilities

• ▹Lead work from design through implementation and operation, producing maintainable code, useful documentation, effective tests and reliable releases
• ▹Set technical direction for complex features and systems that run world-class games at scale, owning clear trade-offs between player experience, delivery speed and long-term health
• ▹Raise standards across teams, improving delivery, performance, reliability, scalability and security through sound design and production feedback
• ▹Partner with colleagues in product, data, design and other disciplines to clarify ambiguous problems, align decisions and manage dependencies
• ▹Mentor engineers and share knowledge beyond your immediate team

Requirements

• ▹Strong computer science and engineering fundamentals, including system design, data structures, algorithms and concurrency
• ▹Deep experience with Java, C# or another object-oriented language, including asynchronous and parallel programming
• ▹A track record of designing, shipping and operating complex production systems with high-quality, maintainable code
• ▹The ability to lead across teams and disciplines through influence, communicate decisions clearly and work constructively
• ▹A product engineering mindset, sound judgment under ambiguity and a habit of learning and improving

Nice to have

• ▹Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
• ▹Experience with low-latency, high-volume distributed systems or large-scale data technologies
• ▹Experience with a modern web framework such as React or Angular
