(Junior) Consultant - Advisory/Quantitative Finance

Responsibilities

• ▹Advise on quantitative questions and work on design and implementation projects in quantitative risk management (credit, market, liquidity and operational risk)
• ▹Value various financial instruments
• ▹Develop innovative solutions by applying quantitative methods in new areas, including technical implementation
• ▹Support acquisition activities such as client events
• ▹Prepare presentations, decision papers and reports for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• ▹Completed or nearly completed degree in economics with a quantitative focus (e.g. Quantitative Finance), or in mathematics or physics, with an emphasis on financial mathematics or statistics
• ▹Good understanding of the banking industry
• ▹Enjoyment of working with object-oriented programming languages and/or statistical software (R, Python, SAS, VBA) and databases (e.g. SQL)
• ▹Problem-solving skills, creativity and strong analytical abilities
• ▹Very good communication skills in German and English

Nice to have

• ▹First professional experience in the financial services industry or management consulting
• ▹Experience with BI solutions (e.g. Power BI)
