Microsoft Power BI Developer

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, develop and continuously improve Power BI reports, dashboards and Premium datasets
• ▹Collect and analyze complex requirements with internal customers, product owners and business experts and turn them into effective BI solutions
• ▹Design and implement data models, analytics solutions and visualizations
• ▹Develop and optimize solutions using Power BI, DAX, DAX Studio and Microsoft Fabric
• ▹Work with data warehouse environments and concepts: dimensions, facts, aggregate facts, data marts and common schema architectures
• ▹Own Power BI Service backend operations: dataflows, gateway configuration, dataset and pipeline refreshes, troubleshooting
• ▹Manage access and security topics: Row-Level Security (RLS), permissions, deployment and lifecycle processes
• ▹Resolve complex technical and data issues independently and together with the global development team
• ▹Improve development standards, solution quality and BI processes in an agile DevOps environment
• ▹Work with internal and external service providers and international stakeholders

Requirements

• ▹University degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Physics, Data Science or a comparable field
• ▹At least 3 years of professional experience as a Power BI Developer, plus several years in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or Data Warehousing
• ▹Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, DAX, DAX Studio and Microsoft Fabric
• ▹Working knowledge of the Microsoft BI and Azure technology stack
• ▹Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, analytics and reporting
• ▹Experience designing data models and building scalable reporting and analytics solutions
• ▹Hands-on experience with Power BI Service administration and backend operations (dataflows, gateways, refresh troubleshooting, security, deployment)
• ▹Ability to understand complex business requirements and turn them into sustainable technical solutions
