Associate Software Engineer - Web Scraping

Responsibilities

• ▹Write production-quality, well-tested scraper code in Python with unit and integration tests
• ▹Learn the collection platform architecture (scrapers, proxy layer, queues, enrichment API) and read design docs
• ▹Debug across components using logging, monitoring and alerting tools
• ▹Work with proxy infrastructure: selection, rotation and recovery from blocks
• ▹Take part in incident response following established processes
• ▹Build depth in SRE practices, resilience patterns and observability
• ▹Deliver in small increments that are reviewed and merged quickly
• ▹Understand the build, test and deployment pipeline and automate manual steps
• ▹Use an AI coding assistant with verification proportionate to risk
• ▹Take part in code review both ways and help onboard newer teammates

Requirements

• ▹Around 1-2 years of professional software engineering experience, or a strong portfolio of internships, personal or open-source projects
• ▹Solid Python
