Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead solution delivery activities including remote deployment support, network migrations and acceptance testing
• ▹Support partner engineers during deployments and act as an escalation point for technical queries
• ▹Review and validate Technical Deployment Package (TDP) content with internal and external stakeholders
• ▹Collaborate with Sales Engineers, Project Managers, Technical Support and Field Service to resolve design or product-related issues
• ▹Maintain detailed as-built documentation for future upgrades and reference
• ▹Participate in customer kick-off calls and guide pre-sales teams to align network design with serviceability standards

Requirements

• ▹B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering or a related discipline
• ▹Experience in a network engineering or related technical role
• ▹Basic theoretical and/or practical knowledge in one or more areas: Layer 0/1 (SDH, DWDM, ROADM, Control Plane), Layer 2-3 (IP protocols), Scripting/DevOps (Python, Java, Ansible)
• ▹Strong customer service and communication skills, including native German and written and verbal English
• ▹Proficiency in MS Office (Visio, Excel, PowerPoint)
• ▹Ability to manage multiple projects, analyse technical data and translate designs into deployable solutions
• ▹Flexibility to travel (~25%) and support night-time maintenance windows (~25%)
