Cloud Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Provision and manage product infrastructure across the product life-cycle, from development to production
• ▹Develop, deploy and maintain cloud-based architectures and systems using Infrastructure as Code
• ▹Set up logging, telemetry and alerts to monitor application performance and production systems
• ▹Secure infrastructure and data through access controls, secrets management and network security configuration
• ▹Automate deployments and operational tasks, and write scripts and playbooks for incident recovery
• ▹Work closely with the platform team, product engineers and algorithm developers to provide robust, well-documented infrastructure
• ▹Provide guidance on best practices in design, testing, security and operations

Requirements

• ▹Background in software engineering, IT administration or cybersecurity engineering, or equivalent experience
• ▹Experience configuring resources with a major cloud provider such as AWS, Azure or GCP, manually or with Infrastructure as Code
• ▹Experience with Linux administration and scripting
• ▹Understanding of the OSI network stack
• ▹Ability to work in a team, make architectural decisions together, and give and receive feedback

Nice to have

• ▹Proficiency in an Infrastructure as Code language or framework such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Serverless Framework
