Software Engineer, Foundation

About the Role This is a mid-level engineering role on the Foundation team at a Series B EdTech platform serving tens of millions of students globally. The Foundation team owns the technical base that all product engineers build on: the Flutter mobile app, agentic and AI infrastructure, developer experience tooling, and Go services. Your work multiplies across 25+ engineers and ships directly to students every day. What You'll Do Own core parts of the Flutter mobile app, including shared components, the design system, state management, performance, and tooling. Build and maintain agentic and AI infrastructure, including custom MCP servers, a background agent platform, and evaluation and feedback loops. Help integrate agentic coding tooling into day-to-day engineering workflows across the team. Improve developer experience through CI/CD pipelines, release tooling, and faster feedback loops between writing code and seeing it live. Ship user-facing product features alongside platform and infrastructure work. Keep the existing foundation reliable so a growing team of engineers can build on it with confidence. What We're Looking For 2 to 4 years of production experience building mobile (Flutter/Dart preferred) or web applications; deep platform-engineering tenure is not required. Daily, fluent use of agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar, with a genuine point of view on where they work well and where they fall short. Strong academic background in computer science or a related field from a well-regarded university. An eye for design: you notice inconsistent spacing, animations that feel off, or components that are close but not quite right. Clear written and spoken English communication and a genuine preference for improving systems that slow other people down. Comfort operating at pace in a fast-moving, high-intensity startup environment. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: 80,000 to 110,000 EUR annually . Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
