Responsibilities

• ▹Design and conceive sophisticated solutions in the "Internal Security" division within a border-control context
• ▹Work on document verification, biometrics and cryptography
• ▹Tech stack: Windows 10/11, C++, Visual Studio, Git, CMake, Conan
• ▹Build new software components and maintain/troubleshoot existing software
• ▹Integrate hardware such as fingerprint scanners and passport readers
• ▹Integrate third-party software, e.g. for biometric checks and quality assessment
• ▹Implement national and international standards

Requirements

• ▹Completed degree in computer science or a comparable field
• ▹Very good skills in modern C++ software development
• ▹Good knowledge of designing and implementing solid, maintainable software solutions
• ▹Strong quality mindset, using measures such as unit tests
• ▹Solid experience with agentic coding
• ▹Business-fluent German and English
• ▹Experience with an IDE such as Visual Studio or CLion
• ▹Analytical thinking and independent, responsible way of working
