Senior Software Engineer - Backend
Aircall is launching a specialized New Product Unit to build the future of autonomous sales. As a Senior Python Engineer you will help build the intelligence layer behind a next-generation autonomous Sales OS, working on an AI Orchestration Layer that records and understands every customer interaction to autonomously execute sales workflows. The role goes beyond traditional backend development and is suited to someone who balances clean architecture with pragmatism in a fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities
- ▹Build the intelligence layer behind a next-generation autonomous Sales OS
- ▹Improve the AI Orchestration Layer that records and understands customer interactions across calls, video, email and WhatsApp
- ▹Autonomously execute sales workflows such as CRM updates, follow-ups, task creation and coaching insights
- ▹Work on distributed systems, AI orchestration and architectural trade-offs
- ▹Ship, learn and iterate quickly while balancing architecture and pragmatism
Requirements
- ▹Strong, senior-level Python engineering experience
- ▹Ability to tackle hard technical problems in distributed systems, performance and scalability
- ▹Comfortable making architectural trade-offs and going deep when needed
- ▹Able to move fast and ship in a startup environment
Nice to have
- ▹Experience with agentic patterns
- ▹Familiarity with AI-augmented development workflows
