Backend Developer • On-site • Full-time • 📍 Karlsruhe

IT system administrator role at Spell GmbH, responsible for operating Linux and Windows environments and transforming the infrastructure within a small two-person IT team.

Responsibilities

  • Operating and administering IT systems in Linux and Windows environments
  • Supporting the transformation of the infrastructure
  • Overseeing web and application servers, databases and CI/CD pipelines
  • Automating and orchestrating processes (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible)
  • Ensuring IT security, monitoring and backup
  • Supporting internal developers (user support)

Requirements

  • Very good understanding of IT systems, networks and server environments
  • Ability to analyze and purposefully modernize existing infrastructures
  • Experience planning and implementing migrations and system changes
  • Structured approach and analytical thinking
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
