Responsibilities

• ▹Lead and manage complex enterprise accounts with custom requirements, from the first technical conversation through to production
• ▹Deliver compelling demos and pitches to budget holders and C-level stakeholders
• ▹Turn customer conversations into working prototypes fast, using AI-assisted development
• ▹Mentor and develop Solutions Architects and Senior SAs with Field Engineering leadership
• ▹Build Databricks' technical presence in the DACH market through collateral, workshops, meetups, and conference talks
• ▹Develop and roll out best practices and repeatable processes across the region
• ▹Build close working relationships with internal SMEs, product teams, and leadership

Requirements

• ▹Fluent German and business-level English, used daily with customers and internally
• ▹Substantial experience in technical pre-sales, including complex customer interactions across the full sales lifecycle
• ▹Ability to drive technical and business conversations with C-level executives and orchestrate cross-functional teams
• ▹Strong track record in the data landscape, with deep expertise in data engineering or data science
• ▹Hands-on coding ability in Python and SQL
• ▹Daily, fluent use of AI tools; coding assistants and agents are part of daily operation
• ▹Able to vibe-code a demo: assemble a credible, working prototype with AI assistance and know where human judgment is still needed
• ▹Hands-on experience running complex proofs of concept on at least one major public cloud
