IT Security SIEM Analyst

Responsibilities

• ▹Monitor and analyze security events and alerts from various sources (firewalls, servers, endpoints, M365, cloud environments) using the SIEM system
• ▹Detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents, including root cause analysis and developing countermeasures
• ▹Develop, implement, and maintain playbooks and automation workflows in the SOAR system
• ▹Integrate SIEM and SOAR systems to automate incident response processes
• ▹Continuously optimize the SIEM system and its underlying processes
• ▹Coordinate with other IT teams and external partners to ensure IT security
• ▹Produce reports, dashboards, and documentation on security incidents and analyses
• ▹Support the development of vulnerability management and patch management processes

Requirements

• ▹Completed studies in computer science with a focus on IT security, or a comparable qualification with several years of relevant experience
• ▹Solid knowledge of IT security, networking, and operating systems
• ▹Knowledge of at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, PowerShell)
• ▹Experience administering and using SIEM systems
• ▹Analytical thinking and the ability to quickly grasp complex issues
• ▹High degree of initiative, responsibility, and teamwork
• ▹Good written and spoken German and English

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of and experience with SOAR systems
