IT Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop and deliver robust, secure and high-quality solutions in a cloud environment
• ▹Apply software engineering best practices, including SOLID principles, design patterns and domain-driven design
• ▹Partner with Product Owners, Architects and IT stakeholders to align technical strategy with business objectives
• ▹Build and maintain scalable data platforms in Azure
• ▹Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• ▹Ensure code quality through automated testing (e.g. pytest, mocking)
• ▹Support and mentor team members

Requirements

• ▹Strong experience in object-oriented programming, analysis and design (Python preferred)
• ▹Proven expertise with cloud services (SDK, Terraform, Databricks; Azure preferred)
• ▹Strong understanding of the incremental software development cycle, DevOps and CI/CD
• ▹Application of SOLID principles and design patterns
• ▹Familiarity with writing layer tests and the testing pyramid

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Unity Catalog
• ▹Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)
• ▹Pytest knowledge
