T1 Security Analyst

Responsibilities

• ▹Investigate, document and report on information security issues and emerging trends
• ▹Work as part of a team to coordinate incident response efforts
• ▹Collaborate with other IT and security teams to address security incidents promptly
• ▹Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including management, technical staff and end users
• ▹Provide operational management, analysis and investigation of security incidents reported by Playtech's security technology
• ▹Analyse security log data from a large number of heterogeneous security devices and critical environments
• ▹Support, maintain and operate security infrastructure and technologies

Requirements

• ▹Around 1 year of experience in IT, ideally in a security or technical support role
• ▹Understanding of IT systems principles and system architecture
• ▹Knowledge of the TCP/IP and OSI network protocol stack, including IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, SMTP, HTTP(S) and SSH
• ▹Familiarity with networking, Windows and Unix operating systems
• ▹Passion for staying updated on the latest security trends, tools and products
• ▹Understanding of threat intelligence sources, indicators of compromise (IOCs) and threat hunting techniques
• ▹Basic knowledge of cloud security principles and technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• ▹Meticulous attention to detail when analysing logs, alerts and security data
• ▹Ability to adapt to rapidly changing threat landscapes and evolving security technologies
• ▹Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• ▹Able to work shifts, including day, evening, night and weekend shifts
• ▹Good English communication skills

Nice to have

• ▹Prior experience handling security incidents: detection, analysis, containment, eradication and recovery
• ▹Experience with SOC tools: SIEM, incident management, threat intelligence, SOAR
