Senior Solutions Architect
MongoDB is looking for passionate technologists to join its Pre-Sales organization as Senior Solutions Architects. In this role you guide customers and users to design and build reliable, scalable systems on MongoDB's data platform, working closely with sales executives to solve customers' business problems and win deals. You will act as a trusted advisor to a wide range of users, from startups to the world's largest enterprise IT organizations. Candidates should be based in Paris for the hybrid working model.
Responsibilities
- ▹Design scalable and performant applications, systems and infrastructure for large software projects leveraging MongoDB
- ▹Guide customers on architecture patterns and optimisation strategies for MongoDB and clearly communicate its business value to stakeholders
- ▹Collaborate with the sales team on account planning, opportunity prioritization/qualification and pipeline generation, owning the technical aspects (technical discovery, demos, proof of value, presentations, sizing, documentation)
- ▹Proactively generate demand in the sales territory through technical initiatives, industry trade shows and account-based marketing events
- ▹Foster strong customer relationships, build champions and ensure customer success and satisfaction
- ▹Innovate and improve MongoDB solutions and processes, relay field feedback to the product team and mentor other Solutions Consulting team members
- ▹Engage in ongoing training and professional development on the MongoDB product suite and industry trends
Requirements
- ▹Ideally 8 to 11 years of related experience in a customer-facing role, with 5 to 7 years of pre-sales experience with enterprise software
- ▹Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with modern scripting languages (e.g. Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or popular programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, C#)
- ▹Experience designing scalable and highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on-prem
- ▹Demonstrated ability to review the complex architecture of existing customer applications and provide improvement guidance
- ▹Ability to strategize with sales teams and drive a multi-threaded account strategy
- ▹Ability to travel up to 25%
- ▹Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- ▹Based in Paris for the hybrid working model
Nice to have
- ▹Experience selling databases and/or deploying applications with any of the major cloud providers
- ▹Experience with database programming and data models
- ▹Experience in data engineering or AI/ML projects
- ▹Experience transforming legacy systems into modern, scalable and efficient technology stacks
- ▹Understanding of sales methodologies/frameworks such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message
- ▹A MongoDB Certification
