Senior Software Engineer, Atlas API Experience
The Atlas API Experience (APIx) teams are part of MongoDB Atlas Data Services, developing the capabilities to run MongoDB globally and allowing users to deploy fault-tolerant, scalable, globally distributed MongoDB clusters in minutes. As part of APIx, you will improve and extend the API platform and downstream tooling such as the Atlas CLI, helping Atlas customers automate their workloads easily through APIs and supporting internal teams contributing to the API. No prior experience with MongoDB technologies is required. The role can be based in the Dublin office or remotely within Ireland.
Responsibilities
- ▹Propose, design, implement, and support product features for the MongoDB Atlas API Platform and MongoDB Atlas DevTools, such as AtlasCLI
- ▹Build tooling that enables MongoDB users and developers to succeed, using languages such as Golang, Java, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- ▹Design and develop software integration components utilizing MongoDB's technology (database, mobile, search, etc.) and integrate into partner frameworks or solutions
- ▹Incrementally ship elements of sophisticated projects
- ▹Assist with investigating and solving problems experienced by customers as part of a Level 2 support rotation
- ▹Apply the company's core values to planning, designing, and coding work
Requirements
- ▹Inspired by building systems that manage infrastructure at scale
- ▹Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across multiple teams, locally and remotely across timezones, internally and externally, to drive projects to completion
- ▹Comfort coordinating your own time and prioritizing multiple concurrent tasks without manager oversight
- ▹Some experience building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling and integrations
- ▹Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms, tools, and concepts (Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
Nice to have
- ▹Experience in at least one of Golang, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
