Senior QA Software Engineer, Networking

Responsibilities

• ▹Review architectural designs and requirements for new features
• ▹Drive the design, development and execution of functional, performance and security tests as part of software releases
• ▹Develop Python automation suites built on clean OOP principles
• ▹Chase down defects and validate fixes until the root cause is resolved
• ▹Use the SimX platform to validate code and debug the ASIC before hardware arrives

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of hands-on QA or networking experience with CCNP-equivalent protocol knowledge: L2 (VLAN, STP), L3 (BGP, OSPF), EVPN, VXLAN, and PFC, ECN, RoCE and QoS
• ▹Production-quality Python engineering with strong OOP design and hands-on Pytest experience
• ▹Deep Linux proficiency (LPIC-1 or LPIC-2 level) for system internals, log analysis and debugging
• ▹Clear verbal and written communication, professional proficiency in written and spoken English
• ▹B.Sc. or B.A. or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a similar field

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Docker and traffic generation tools (Ixia, TRex, Scapy)
• ▹Hands-on experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• ▹Working knowledge of virtualization platforms (KVM, VMware)

Soft skills

What we offer

• ▹Base salary depends on location, experience and pay in similar positions; in Poland 157,500-273,000 PLN for Level 3 and 206,250-357,500 PLN for Level 4
