Senior Data Engineer - Real Time Streams

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and operate stateful Apache Flink streaming pipelines
• ▹Build CDC pipelines (Flink CDC, Debezium)
• ▹Build and operate Kafka and Kafka Connect pipelines
• ▹Own the Kafka → Flink → data store path (Postgres/ClickHouse/BigQuery)
• ▹Diagnose production issues (checkpoint failures, backpressure)
• ▹Code review and mentoring
• ▹Helm/ArgoCD/GKE deployment work

Requirements

• ▹5+ years software/data engineering experience with strong Java
• ▹Production Apache Flink and stateful streaming experience
• ▹Strong Apache Kafka knowledge (Connect, partitions, schema management)
• ▹Hands-on CDC experience (Debezium or Flink CDC)
• ▹Strong PostgreSQL and analytical database (ClickHouse/BigQuery) skills
• ▹Kubernetes experience operating production data workloads

Nice to have

• ▹TimescaleDB and hypertable experience
• ▹PostGIS and geospatial query optimization
• ▹Deep ClickHouse performance tuning
• ▹ArgoCD, Helm, GKE, Prometheus, Grafana experience
• ▹MQTT or IoT systems knowledge
