Senior Full Stack Developer – Java, React, Spring Boot (Remote)

Lexware Office (part of Haufe Group) is looking for a senior full stack developer to help build the codebase behind its cloud accounting and payroll software. The role can be based in Freiburg, Leipzig, Berlin, or fully remote, working in an agile, Scrum-based, cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

  • Join an agile, cross-functional team (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Business Analyst, developers, UX designer)
  • Extend and improve the Lexware Office codebase together with the team, adapting it to evolving business needs
  • Contribute constructively to team discussions and decision-making
  • Work independently, finding robust and feasible technical solutions for new features
  • Address problems proactively, either alone or by reaching out to colleagues, favoring short communication paths
  • Stay open to learning new topics and areas of expertise
  • Take part in regular cross-team tech community discussions on shared topics and technical development

Requirements

  • Several years of experience designing and developing cloud-based applications, including solid knowledge of microservice architectures, database design and RESTful APIs
  • (Very) good knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
  • Strong interest in high-quality software development, a structured way of working, and the ability to get up to speed in complex domains
  • Reliable, responsible approach to implementing new features, balancing technical requirements with team decisions
  • Customer-centric mindset
  • Passion for agile (Scrum) software development, teamwork, and constructive, proactive communication
  • Very good German language skills (at least C2), as the team's working language is German

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of frontend frameworks (especially React)
  • AWS knowledge, or willingness to learn it
