The Opportunity Reporting to the Director, IT Commercial Business Partner, the Manager, IT Commercial & Medical Applications will support the delivery and ongoing optimization of Commercial and Medical technology solutions. This work combines hands-on execution with cross-functional coordination to advance critical business systems in a growing environment. In addition to supporting initiative delivery, this individual will contribute directly to business analysis, project management, and system administration activities. Partnering closely with stakeholders across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Patient Services, and external vendors, the Manager will help deliver solutions that meet business needs while aligning with established technology strategies, standards, and compliance requirements. Responsibilities Lead hands-on activities for the delivery of Commercial and Medical application requirements, translating stakeholder needs into clear requirements and actionable deliverables. Document current and future-state processes, workflows, functional specifications, and business rules to support scalable and compliant system solutions. Manage end-to-end delivery of IT change management and enhancements, including scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and status communications. Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation. Leverage AI-powered tools and LLMs to improve productivity and accelerate delivery. Administer and support commercial platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva Vault), including user management, basic configuration, troubleshooting, and coordination of more complex changes with vendors. Support integration activities by defining requirements, assisting with testing, and coordinating across systems and teams. Contribute to RFP and new vendor evaluations through requirements documentation, solution analysis, and coordination of supporting materials. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA computer systems assurance, SOX, and GDPR. Build and maintain effective working relationships and facilitate cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, Medical Affairs, IT, and external partners Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Minimum 5+years of progressive experience in IT, business systems analysis, project management, or consulting roles. 3+ years of administrative experience with CRM and omnichannel customer engagement platforms (e.g., Salesforce.com, Veeva). Experience in Commercial, Marketing, and/or Medical Operations within Life Sciences is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with AI-powered tools, automation platforms, scripting technologies, and the ability to apply them effectively is preferred. Demonstrated ability to execute IT projects within controlled change management frameworks. Strong business analysis skills: requirements, process flows, and functional specifications. Experience supporting regulated environments, validation and User Acceptance Testing processes Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills Self-motivated with high attention to detail. Work Location and Conditions At Amylyx, we proudly support remote work opportunities within the United States. However, due to business considerations related to health insurance coverage and state tax regulations, we are unable to hire employees who reside and/or work in certain states. Currently, we are not considering applicants from Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Michigan and Tennessee. Preference will be given to candidates who reside in the New England region and can be in person on an as needed basis. You will be expected to travel to our corporate location in Cambridge, MA several times a year and attend other company-related events as necessary and requested, which may include travel by air, driving or public transportation. You must have access to work in setting that meets all requirements of the role (including privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to communication via video conference, etc.) at your remote location Compensation The pay range posted below represents our good faith estimate of compensation for this role, based on market data and internal benchmarks. The final offer may vary depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as considerations of internal equity.
