Staff Software Engineer - mobile

Responsibilities

• ▹Set and own quality/reliability strategy from the API layer to iOS and Android clients
• ▹Design for testability and release confidence (quality gates, device/OS coverage, flakiness control)
• ▹Keep the backend/API/contract layer strong and connected to the mobile client layer
• ▹Drive resolution of cross-team quality and reliability issues
• ▹Get hands-on in the codebase (prototypes, tooling, reference implementations)
• ▹Mentor senior engineers across the domain
• ▹Run knowledge-sharing (tech talks, workshops, documentation, pair sessions)
• ▹Co-shape technical direction and analyse quality trends from metrics
• ▹Define quality and reliability metrics and gates
• ▹Define how AI is adopted for quality and engineering productivity
• ▹Design AI-assisted workflows and governance standards
• ▹Assess and manage risk of AI usage
• ▹Mentor engineers on responsible AI use

Requirements

• ▹8+ years of software engineering experience at Staff/Principal/Tech Lead/Architect level
• ▹Deep ownership of quality and reliability as an engineering discipline
• ▹Proven shift-left experience
• ▹Strong hands-on engineering foundation, can read, review and write production code
• ▹Experience leading technical and process change with development teams
• ▹Hands-on, critical relationship with AI
• ▹Fluent English
