Axon's Mission Engineer is an embedded, technical role where the engineer builds and ships AI-powered workflows, integrations, and data pipelines onsite for agency customers on Axon's platform (AI Era, DEMS, Fusus, Records). Success is measured by working solutions in production, not product health or activity.
Responsibilities
- ▹Discover agency problems onsite and translate them into buildable solutions
- ▹Design and ship AI agents, workflows, automations, and data pipelines
- ▹Configure, integrate, and extend Axon products (DEMS, Fusus, AI Era, Records)
- ▹Apply responsible innovation guardrails (CJIS, evidence integrity, privacy)
- ▹Troubleshoot onsite and coordinate with Product, Engineering, and Support
- ▹Build and deploy AI-powered workflows (agents, prompts, RAG, evaluations)
- ▹Measure adoption and impact, iterate when changes don't stick
