Engineering Manager - Ceph & Distributed Storage

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead a team building a Ceph-focused software-defined storage solution
• ▹Build and manage a globally distributed team of engineers
• ▹Develop the team through coaching, mentoring and feedback
• ▹Directly contribute toward the team's goals with sound engineering principles
• ▹Set reasonable schedules based on considered estimates with feedback loops
• ▹Advance modern, agile software development practices and maintain engineering excellence

Requirements

• ▹Software engineering background, preferably with Python and C++ experience
• ▹Experience operating scale-out storage clusters on Linux in production, preferably Ceph
• ▹Technical leadership experience
• ▹Track record of developing and growing people
• ▹Interest in building products that improve how people operate software and infrastructure

Nice to have

• ▹Hands-on Ceph experience
• ▹Experience with edge to large enterprise data center deployments
