Senior Java Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• ▹Be involved in all areas of delivery, mentoring and inspiring the development team
• ▹Take ownership of code from development through deployment and maintenance
• ▹Diagnose production issues and design solutions
• ▹Contribute to solution design and implementation
• ▹Challenge business requirements to ensure the best possible outcome
• ▹Drive adoption of new technologies to deliver business value
• ▹Help shape the technology roadmap and future technical direction
• ▹Conduct technical interviews for positions in your area of expertise

Requirements

• ▹Minimum 7 years of experience with Java, including recent versions (17+)
• ▹Experience with web frameworks such as Spring (Boot, Cloud, Data Flow) or Micronaut
• ▹Knowledge of architectural styles: microservices, web services, SOA, and API protocols such as GraphQL Federation and REST
• ▹Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as OpenTelemetry or Dynatrace
• ▹Proficiency with build tools such as Gradle
• ▹Experience with unit testing, integration testing and test-driven development
• ▹Cloud experience with Azure, Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes
• ▹Experience with databases such as MongoDB and MySQL
• ▹Experience with ALM tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins or NexusPro
• ▹Experience with agile practices: Scrum/Kanban, user stories, BDD/TDD, DevOps, CI/CD, pair programming
• ▹Proficiency applying design patterns for scalable, maintainable solutions
• ▹Fluency in English
• ▹Must be located in Portugal

Nice to have

• ▹Understanding of Product Information Management / Master Data Management platforms such as Stibo
