Senior Software Engineer – Java Fullstack, Mendix Low-Code

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Fullstack development: build sophisticated solutions from robust Java backends (Spring Boot) to high-performance Mendix-based applications
• ▹AI orchestration: use Agentic AI to radically reduce development effort, steering AI agents for code generation and automated testing
• ▹Architecture and integration: design modern system landscapes and own integration via REST, OData or messaging services (e.g. Kafka)
• ▹Engineering quality: ensure that low-code solutions also meet adesso's high standards (Clean Code, CI/CD pipelines)
• ▹Consulting: advise clients on choosing the right technology and accompany them from first prototype to go-live

Requirements

• ▹IT background: solid education (HTL/university/university of applied sciences) and several years of experience in object-oriented software development with Java and Spring Boot
• ▹Low-code and web tech: hands-on experience with Mendix (or willingness to learn it) plus confident JavaScript/TypeScript (React/Angular) skills
• ▹AI affinity: experience experimenting with LLMs and drive to deeply integrate Agentic AI into the development process
• ▹Analytical mind: ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into clean data models and microflows
• ▹Language skills: confident communication in German and English within interdisciplinary teams
