Product Owner, Data Warehouse

Responsibilities

• ▹Gather, clarify and document technical requirements, including data mapping, transformation logic and schema definitions
• ▹Validate delivered data products against business needs through testing and SQL-based validation
• ▹Maintain a prioritized, groomed product backlog and translate stakeholder requests into user stories
• ▹Facilitate agile ceremonies: sprint planning, retrospectives, release planning and sprint reviews
• ▹Track projects against timelines, managing the product lifecycle from scope to QA and launch
• ▹Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular status updates
• ▹Ensure enhancements meet SLAs and existing projects stay well maintained
• ▹Support production teams with escalated issues and communicate around releases
• ▹Create technical documentation, data dictionaries and training materials
• ▹Act as the internal subject matter expert and evangelist for the data warehouse

Requirements

• ▹Strong SQL and database skills; ability to investigate technical issues and perform data profiling independently (not a developer role)
• ▹At least 2 years of experience in requirements analysis working directly with stakeholders and developers, or equivalent combined experience in data engineering, analytics or technical writing
