Senior Software Engineer – REDAPL Graph Engine

Responsibilities

• ▹Build a query engine that supports efficient relationship traversals for demanding workloads
• ▹Contribute to design and drive high-priority, high-visibility projects that grow the platform's value, resilience and scalability
• ▹Lead and guide other engineers through architectural decisions
• ▹Identify system risks and reliability trends and design solutions to address them
• ▹Help prioritize engineering-led initiatives in short- and long-term planning
• ▹Collaborate with internal product teams on requirements and growth plans

Requirements

• ▹Significant back-end engineering experience building and operating distributed systems at high scale
• ▹Extensive experience working with multiple types of data stores
• ▹Several years contributing to platform or infrastructure-focused environments
• ▹Track record leading impactful technical initiatives balancing performance, cost efficiency, usability and resilience

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j, Memgraph, JanusGraph, ArangoDB, Amazon Neptune or PuppyGraph
• ▹Production-grade experience with Apache Iceberg
• ▹Solid grasp of query planning, ideally with contributions to production-grade query engines (Trino, Calcite, Substrait, DataFusion) or open-source/PMC involvement
