Responsibilities

• ▹Administer Storage/Backup systems in VMware and/or cloud environments
• ▹Support Linux workstations and servers for a global IT team serving product development engineers
• ▹Monitor enterprise infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance
• ▹Lead Product Development infrastructure automation development, deployment and workshops
• ▹Support UNIX infrastructure servers and datacenters worldwide
• ▹Support local and remote offices worldwide
• ▹Coordinate installation, configuration and maintenance of Linux servers, storage/backup systems and terminal servers
• ▹Install and configure new applications (web servers, OS, infrastructure components)
• ▹Handle Exchange tasks, desktop deployments, imaging, and account creation
• ▹Create and manage data backups on external hard drives
• ▹Maintain network security using firewalls and intrusion detection systems
• ▹Develop disaster recovery programs for natural or man-made incidents
• ▹Continuously improve server performance, tracking and resolving user-reported issues

Requirements

• ▹5-12 years of Storage/Backup administration/system management/automation experience in VMware and/or cloud environments
• ▹Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Sciences, IT, or Software Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• ▹At least one relevant certification (NetApp, HP 3PAR, Commvault, VMware Certified Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Red Hat Certified Specialist, Hashi Infrastructure Automation Certification)
• ▹Fluent English (written and verbal)
• ▹Master's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent (for the Linux Administrator role)
• ▹Minimum 5 years of Linux RedHat systems administration experience
• ▹Minimum 3 years developing and deploying Ansible automation in corporate environments (2000+ nodes)
• ▹Knowledge of RedHat Satellite, RedHat Kickstart, shell scripting and/or Perl, Python scripting
• ▹Minimum 5-6 years of IT Operations / infrastructure services support experience
• ▹Use and management of virtualization software (VMware, Oracle VM, vSphere)
• ▹Thorough technical knowledge of the Windows platform (Windows, AD, VMware, Hyper-V)
• ▹Deep technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• ▹Expertise in heterogeneous Windows platform environments (including MS Clustering)
