Senior CloudOps Engineer

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Maintain the reliability, stability and efficiency of the platform
• ▹Help teams automate everyday tasks
• ▹Implement and support new infrastructure services
• ▹Work with the team on improving the configuration management platform
• ▹Actively participate in incident response and management, including on-call duty
• ▹Develop and maintain professional connections within and outside the team
• ▹Drive bigger projects end-to-end with the outline defined by more senior team members

Requirements

• ▹Advanced knowledge in at least four of: data networks, security, database, cloud providers, process automation, containerised application management; intermediate in the rest
• ▹Advanced Linux administration skills for highly available web application infrastructure
• ▹Experience with software load balancers (Nginx, HAProxy, Envoy/Istio)
• ▹Scripting skills in Python/Bash or other languages
• ▹Advanced experience managing a cloud provider (AWS/GCP/Azure) using IaC (e.g. Terraform)
• ▹Experience with enterprise-grade infrastructure and SaaS solutions
• ▹Upper Intermediate English skills

Nice to have

• ▹Advanced experience running Kubernetes
• ▹Strong Linux fundamentals: networking, security, hardware, troubleshooting
• ▹Monitoring experience with Zabbix, Grafana or Prometheus
• ▹Intermediate CI/CD experience (GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• ▹Advanced experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Salt)
