Founding Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Translate technical requirements into detailed backend designs for scalable, tier-1 systems
• ▹Drive innovation, maintainability, performance and scalability, building headless systems under strict timelines
• ▹Lead backend engineering on schema design, uptime and high-end security
• ▹Design a credit scoring system, including how to gamify the experience while ensuring strong ROI on lending decisions
• ▹Build an invoice matching algorithm to accurately match invoices to deposits at scale
• ▹Optimise payment orchestration to lower costs and increase margins
• ▹Set up an analytics system tracking all relevant metrics
• ▹Integrate with external systems such as Stripe, Plaid, QuickBooks and Economic

Requirements

• ▹4+ years of experience with Python
• ▹4+ years of experience with the AWS ecosystem

Nice to have

• ▹1+ years of experience with banking integrations
• ▹1+ years of experience with accounting integrations
• ▹1+ years of experience with payment gateways and processors such as Stripe
• ▹GitHub links to applications you have developed

Soft skills
