Database Engineer (Full Remote)

Responsibilities

• ▹Manage and monitor ClickHouse database clusters
• ▹Manage and monitor MariaDB database systems
• ▹Ensure system reliability and stability over time
• ▹Ensure cost-effective and efficient use of resources
• ▹Work with development teams to design, implement, and maintain databases
• ▹Regularly review and improve database system design
• ▹Research performance bottlenecks and propose solutions
• ▹Contribute to team process improvements and knowledge sharing

Requirements

• ▹Proven MySQL/MariaDB administration experience
• ▹Experience diagnosing, analyzing, and resolving operational problems
• ▹Database performance analysis and tuning experience
• ▹Knowledge of data partitioning and sharding
• ▹Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence)
• ▹BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience

Nice to have

• ▹PHP, Python, and Go programming languages
• ▹Previous experience with Big Data systems (Hadoop, Impala, ClickHouse)
