Staff Software Engineer

As a Staff Software Engineer in Cint's Supply domain, you won't just write features — you'll set the technical direction shaping the platform's future through legacy modernization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement patterns for legacy displacement to move domains out of the monolith with zero downtime
  • Own the architectural vision for legacy displacement across the domain, defining patterns, standards, and trade-offs
  • Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, raise the quality bar through design reviews
  • Build new services and help transition others from Go to Spring
  • Partner with product managers to question and form requirements and shape the roadmap
  • Communicate effectively across timezones through written documentation and async communication
  • Use Grafana and modern tracing to monitor system health and reliability
  • Leverage agentic programming tools (like Claude Code) to accelerate refactoring and development workflows

Requirements

  • Significant backend engineering experience (typically 10+ years) in performance-sensitive, production-critical systems
  • Deep experience in backend systems and comfort switching between languages; practical React expertise highly welcomed
  • Strong collaboration mindset with a track record of mentoring and knowledge sharing
  • Comfortable with event-driven systems and a proven track record of breaking down monoliths and managing migrations
  • Belief that code without a robust test suite (Unit, Integration, E2E) isn't finished
  • Strong product mindset and understanding of business impact
