Responsibilities

• ▹Design and implement patterns for legacy displacement to move domains out of the monolith with zero downtime
• ▹Build new services and help transition others from .NET to Spring while contributing to other codebases
• ▹Partner with product managers to question and shape requirements, understand the why, and help form a roadmap that balances technical debt with new value
• ▹Communicate effectively across time zones; written documentation and async communication are the glue of the distributed team
• ▹Use Grafana and modern tracing to monitor system health and keep the backend-heavy domain performant and reliable
• ▹Leverage agentic programming tools (such as Claude Code) to accelerate refactoring and development workflows

Requirements

• ▹Deep backend experience and comfort switching between languages
• ▹Strong collaboration mindset, mentoring others and sharing knowledge across the team
• ▹Comfort with event-driven systems and a proven track record of breaking down monoliths and managing system migrations
• ▹A testing mindset: code without a robust test suite (unit, integration, E2E) is not finished
• ▹Strong product mindset and understanding of the business impact of architectural choices
• ▹Building systems that report on their own performance (observability)
