Responsibilities

• ▹Support field sales in helping customers understand the value of the Kong API Management platform
• ▹Understand and establish customer requirements, and grow trusted client relationships throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from initial product reviews to production
• ▹Support PoCs throughout the entire evaluation process
• ▹Ensure 100% customer satisfaction across an assigned set of accounts
• ▹Prioritize customer needs and coordinate with support, product and engineering teams
• ▹Create technical documentation for DevOps, implementations and services engagements

Requirements

• ▹7+ years of software engineering and/or sales engineering management experience at a SaaS, open source or enterprise software company (or a post-sales/support background with an aptitude for technical sales)
• ▹Solid understanding of cloud computing trends and open source business models
• ▹Strong listening and communication skills, able to confidently lead a discussion with product managers, engineers and executives
• ▹Enthusiasm for working in a high-profile, fast-paced startup culture

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Docker
• ▹Fluency working on Linux OSes
• ▹Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• ▹Knowledge of Kubernetes, DCOS/Mesos and Docker Swarm
• ▹Knowledge of NGINX, HTTP, AWS, Postgres and Cassandra
