QA Automation Lead - Data Intelligence

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, scale and maintain robust automation frameworks for testing complex SaaS and distributed data architectures
• ▹Embed automated test suites into the CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions/Jenkins)
• ▹Drive deep integration, API, performance, resilience and data-integrity automation across the product stack
• ▹Act as technical authority for the QA automation team: clean code standards for test scripts, rigorous code reviews, less framework technical debt
• ▹Coach junior automation engineers and guide functional QA testers toward automated practices
• ▹Allocate engineering capacity across feature testing, framework enhancement and technical debt reduction
• ▹Own the final quality sign-off for releases, with the authority to halt deployments
• ▹Collaborate with Product Management, Core Engineering and DevOps to plan automation strategies early
• ▹Partner with Sustaining Engineering to reproduce production bugs with automated tests
• ▹Track, isolate and eliminate flaky tests
• ▹Track and report QA metrics (test coverage, automation pass rates, execution time, defect leakage rate)
• ▹Use modern AI tools for test case generation, suite optimization and defect hot-spot prediction

Requirements

• ▹Strong background as a Senior SDET or QA Automation Lead testing complex enterprise SaaS, distributed systems, big data engines or data platforms
• ▹Deep expertise in Java, Python or Go and modern testing frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or custom frameworks)
• ▹Exceptional SQL skills and API testing expertise
• ▹Proactive mindset: anticipate regressions and push for built-in quality
• ▹Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and version control workflows (GitHub)
• ▹Familiarity with AI assistants and generative AI tools for test suites, mock data and failure analysis
• ▹Exceptional verbal and written English communication; able to stand behind quality metrics while staying aligned with engineering leadership
