Technology Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

• ▹Organize and chair working and validation meetings with stakeholders when requests are kicked off
• ▹Learn the client's IT management and security guidelines and follow them when designing
• ▹Analyze and compare possible solutions and recommend one for approval
• ▹Clearly define the scope, costs and estimated duration in months
• ▹Assess the resources needed to put the solution in place (licences, purchases, capacity, processing, storage)
• ▹Lead synergy workshops with the relevant teams and representatives of affected services
• ▹Supervise, define or carry out the proofs of concept needed to confirm elements of the implementation
• ▹Produce the most suitable deliverable (design file, statement of work or detailed architecture) for the project context
• ▹Present the files to the delivery coordinator and the relevant director, and to other approval bodies
• ▹Support ongoing projects in implementing the solution
• ▹Document the chosen solution in the standard documentation
• ▹Report regularly on progress to the client's delivery teams
• ▹Submit results for approval under the client's processes, and produce assembly plans and other architecture tasks

Requirements

• ▹Canadian citizenship or a valid work permit
• ▹Ability to work in French, spoken and written
• ▹At least 8 years of professional experience in information technology
• ▹At least 5 years of experience as a technology solutions architect
• ▹Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration or another relevant field
• ▹At least 3 years of experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban or SAFe)
• ▹Completed relevant solution architecture mandates
