Technical Manager - Automotive and Industrial

Canonical delivers secure and reliable Linux-based solutions to automotive and industrial partners. The role involves building and leading an engineering team that adapts Ubuntu and the open source portfolio to automotive standards (ISO 21434, ISO 26262, ASPICE).

Responsibilities

  • ▹Build and lead a team of automotive/industrial engineers
  • ▹Define and execute the engineering roadmap
  • ▹Represent Canonical/Ubuntu in industry consortia
  • ▹Drive a development strategy compliant with standards (ISO21434, ISO26262, IEC 61508, etc.)

Requirements

  • ▹Strong software engineering, Linux, and open source background
  • ▹Knowledge of Linux packaging and embedded development
  • ▹Familiarity with automotive standards (ISO21434, ISO26262, SOTIF, IEC 61508)
  • ▹C/C++ and Python programming experience
  • ▹Experience leading and mentoring teams
