Responsibilities

• ▹Lead, mentor, and scale high-performing EMEA Solutions Engineering teams, fostering technical excellence and customer obsession
• ▹Develop and execute the global vision and strategy for the Solutions Engineering function, aligned with sales and growth objectives
• ▹Own the technical sales strategy, empowering the team to deliver demos, POCs, and sophisticated solution designs
• ▹Serve as a key executive partner to Sales and Product, acting as the voice of the customer and field
• ▹Implement scalable processes, playbooks, and best practices for the pre-sales and implementation lifecycle
• ▹Represent Airwallex as a senior technical leader in customer meetings, industry events, and executive briefings

Requirements

• ▹Significant track record leading and scaling global or multi-regional Presales, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Architecture teams within EMEA, with 3+ years in senior leadership
• ▹10+ years of experience in technical, client-facing roles
• ▹Background in engineering, software development, or product, hands-on designing and delivering complex software solutions
• ▹Strategic thinker with deep understanding of enterprise sales cycles and go-to-market motions
• ▹Excellent at working with enterprise clients, translating their goals into tangible, creative solutions on an API-driven platform
• ▹Outstanding executive communication and presentation skills

Nice to have

• ▹Strong knowledge of the payments ecosystem, financial services, or fintech
• ▹Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering)
