Senior Software Engineer (C#) - Based in Hungary

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Take full ownership of features from refinement and design through to production
• ▹Build and maintain modern microservices in C# and .NET (8+) on Azure Kubernetes Service
• ▹Contribute across the stack: backend services, Angular UI, test automation, CI/CD pipelines
• ▹Write clean, testable, well-documented code and hold the bar through code reviews
• ▹Create and execute test cases, participate in functional testing, manage test plans in Azure DevOps
• ▹Work in 2-week sprints with a globally distributed team
• ▹Instrument services with OpenTelemetry and use Datadog to own service health
• ▹Participate in on-call rotation as a primary responder for services and Kubernetes infrastructure
• ▹Own customer escalations directly, investigating and resolving issues
• ▹Use AI coding tools to accelerate development
• ▹Collaborate closely with architects, product managers and teammates across Panama, Hungary and beyond

Requirements

• ▹Strong C# and .NET (8+) experience building production microservices at scale
• ▹Solid grasp of CQRS, event-driven architecture and messaging systems (Azure Service Bus or similar)
• ▹Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB, MongoDB or similar)
• ▹Experience with CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar)
• ▹Comfortable with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS)

Nice to have

• ▹Frontend exposure: Angular, TypeScript, HTML/CSS
• ▹Test automation: Python/Pytest, Playwright or similar
• ▹Infrastructure-as-code: Bicep, Terraform or equivalent
