Fullstack Architect/Principal (Contractor)

Responsibilities

• ▹Design scalable, maintainable architectures for new projects using modern fullstack technologies, considering performance, security, scalability and business requirements
• ▹Provide accurate technical estimates, identify risks and create realistic project plans
• ▹Develop production-ready applications using Next.js, React and complementary backend technologies (Node.js, TypeScript, etc.)
• ▹Conduct code reviews, establish best practices, and set the technical direction and quality standards
• ▹Champion the adoption of AI-powered development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) to enhance productivity and code quality
• ▹Work with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and implement CI/CD pipelines
• ▹Establish and maintain quality standards including unit and integration testing, code coverage, security best practices, monitoring and observability
• ▹Participate in client meetings, technical discussions and RFP responses, proposing solutions

Requirements

• ▹8+ years of professional software development experience with at least 3+ years in full stack development
• ▹Expert-level proficiency in React and Next.js, with deep understanding of modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems
• ▹Prior experience as a technical lead or architect in client-facing roles
• ▹Hands-on experience with backend technologies (Node.js, Express or equivalent), databases (SQL & NoSQL) and REST/GraphQL APIs
• ▹Strong understanding of containerization (Docker) and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)
• ▹Proven experience in presales: presenting solutions to clients, writing technical proposals and translating business requirements into technical specifications
• ▹Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• ▹Proven track record of estimating projects accurately and delivering on time
• ▹Strong understanding of software quality practices: unit testing, integration testing, code review and CI/CD
• ▹Experience with version control (Git) and modern development workflows (Agile/Scrum)

Nice to have

• ▹Kubernetes and orchestration experience beyond basic Docker usage
• ▹Headless CMS systems, API-first architecture and microservices design patterns
• ▹Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation or equivalent)
• ▹Experience with AI-assisted development tools and understanding of their best practices and limitations
• ▹Knowledge of serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Vercel Functions, etc.)
• ▹Frontend optimization: web performance, SEO, Core Web Vitals and accessibility (a11y, WCAG)
• ▹Monitoring, logging and observability tools (ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
• ▹Security best practices: OWASP top 10, authentication/authorization patterns (OAuth2, JWT), secure coding
• ▹Red Hat / Linux administration basics, container registries and package management
• ▹AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification or equivalent cloud certifications
