Research Engineer Intern (Video/Multimodal LLM)

Tether is recruiting MSc/PhD interns for 2025/2026 to work on state-of-the-art LLM, video and multimodal foundation models and to continuously optimize the distributed model training framework.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Research and develop state-of-the-art LLM and/or video or multimodal models to accelerate open-source progress
  • ▹Apply large models in business scenarios: pre-training, supervised fine-tuning, post-training, inference
  • ▹Continuously optimize the training framework to adapt to large-model training on thousands of multi-node GPUs
  • ▹Collaborate with broader teams across Tether

Requirements

  • ▹MSc/PhD candidate in computer science or a related technical discipline
  • ▹Research experience in at least one of: LLM, computer vision, multimodality
  • ▹Proficiency with PyTorch
  • ▹Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, logical thinking
  • ▹Communication and collaboration skills
  • ▹Excellent English communication skills

Nice to have

  • ▹Publications in top AI conferences (e.g. ACL, NIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI, IJCV)
