Senior Data & Platform Engineer – Veterinary Technology

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Own the data platform's reliability: pipelines, warehousing, transformations and observability
• ▹Design, build and maintain data pipelines using Apache Airflow
• ▹Manage and optimize the Snowflake data warehouse (schema design, clustering keys, materialized views, access controls, cost governance)
• ▹Build and maintain the dbt transformation layer
• ▹Deploy and operate data platform services on Kubernetes (EKS)
• ▹Provision and manage data platform infrastructure using Terraform
• ▹Write SQL and Python for ETL tooling and pipeline logic
• ▹Manage PostgreSQL as a source-of-truth operational database
• ▹Lead the transition to change data capture (CDC) using tools like Debezium
• ▹Implement observability, SLA tracking and alerting using Datadog
• ▹Maintain CI/CD pipelines for DAG deployments, dbt runs, schema migrations and container builds
• ▹Navigate AWS environments (RDS, S3) for data-adjacent services
