Engineering Manager (SRE)

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead and support a team of experienced engineers through regular 1:1s, goal setting and day-to-day collaboration
• ▹Contribute hands-on to infrastructure work: DevOps tooling, automation, platform reliability or cloud infrastructure on GCP
• ▹Own prioritization: translate business needs into technical goals and define quarterly focus areas
• ▹Identify and resolve gaps such as reliability risks, skill areas to develop or slowing processes
• ▹Help lead incident response
• ▹Collaborate with software engineers, product managers and other engineering managers
• ▹Share knowledge, review work and raise the bar for building reliable systems

Requirements

• ▹Proven people management experience leading a team of experienced engineers, with 1:1s, feedback, performance and team development
• ▹Solid technical background in DevOps or infrastructure engineering with a strong automation mindset
• ▹Hands-on experience with public cloud environments (any major cloud is fine)
• ▹Comfort with self-hosted / bare-metal infrastructure and virtualization
• ▹Experience operating infrastructure at scale
• ▹Programming or scripting knowledge: comfortable reading, reviewing and writing code
• ▹Strong English communication skills

Nice to have

• ▹Direct experience with GCP
• ▹Infrastructure security mindset (secrets management, hardening, compliance)
