Responsibilities

• ▹Team management: mentorship, task allocation, performance evaluations and leading hiring
• ▹Coaching: help each engineer grow with regular feedback and clear development paths
• ▹Participate in planning, estimation and roadmap discussions, keeping the team's work aligned with business objectives
• ▹Keep the customer experience front and center: registration, renewal and domain continuity flows reliable, fast and low-friction
• ▹Own delivery discipline: predictable execution, clear release cadence, multi-vendor integration timelines and a shrinking backlog
• ▹Contribute to discussions on the technical direction of domain systems, translating decisions into team plans
• ▹Take part in code reviews to maintain quality and standards
• ▹Work closely with other leads and team managers
• ▹Identify process optimization areas using customer and delivery metrics
• ▹Support the team in resolving technical challenges and act as an escalation point for delivery and people issues

Requirements

• ▹At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience and 2+ years in a leadership role
• ▹Track record of improving team delivery (throughput, predictability or time-to-ship)
• ▹Customer and business mindset: conversion, revenue and user outcomes
• ▹AI-native: daily hands-on use of AI/agentic engineering tools and eagerness to spread those practices
• ▹Strong leadership skills fostering a positive, collaborative, high-trust environment
• ▹Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders
• ▹Solid backend engineering background (PHP, Laravel, Go, GCP, MySQL, Redis, Kubernetes) and working familiarity with frontend technologies
• ▹Good background in incident management, on-call practices and observability tooling
• ▹Continuous learner of industry and people-leadership trends
• ▹Proactive, able to work in a fast-paced environment and comfortable with ambiguity

Nice to have

• ▹Good understanding of how domains technically operate
• ▹Hands-on or leadership experience running cloud operations (CloudOps)
